Howool Baek
Howool Baek is a Korean choreographer, based in Berlin. She is working to discover the movement vocabularies and own expressions of individual body part. Her first choreography [I want to talk with you] won awards at the CJ Young Festival (Korea) in 2007 and received the Dokebi Award at the Chuncheon International Mime Festival (Korea) in 2008.
[Fade] made it to the final round of the International Choreography Competition No Ballet (Germany) in 2009 and Yokohama Dance Collection (Japan) in 2010. [NOTHING for body] was selected for Aerowaves Priority List in 2012. and awarded the 2nd prize and the Audience prize at Erfurt Tanztheater Festival -Contact Energy (Germany) in 2012. [Did u Hear] won at 10 Sentidos choreography competition (Spain) in 2016. [NOTHING for 60min] received Crystal Pestka at Pestka Festival (Poland) in 2019.
Since 2009, her works has been internationally presented in Seoul Performing Arts Festival(spaf), Dublin Dance Festival, Tanzmesse Dusseldorf, Tanec Praha, Oldenburg Tanztage, Made in Potsdam, B-Motion Fesival, Noorderzon Festival, etc...
Matthias Erian
Matthias Erian studied computer music and electronic media at the University of Music in Vienna. As electro-acoustic composer and performer, he has created installations, o-tone work and sound design for film, dance and theatre productions, and multi-channel concepts (surround sound).
He has performed widely in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Portugal, South Korea, Japan and New York. Erian has contributed to transdisciplinary projects at Musik Verein Wien. Since 2010, he is a co-founder and organizer of New Adits Music Festival.
